Back to School and Oreo's

I can't believe that Joshua is in the second grade! I remember when I was in second grade! My teacher's name was Mrs. Efird, my best friend was Callie Wright, and I had a crush on Hans Speck! It doesn't seem that long ago to me, yet here I am with a son in the second grade. I find myself wondering who has crushes on him...and as handsome as he is there's bound to be a couple of googly eyed girls after him! ^_^

On to the Oreo's...while Joshua was off for the first day of school us girls stayed home watching Oprah and eating bon-bons! Kidding...but we did enjoy a morning snack of milk and oreo's! (Don't feel bad, I sent some to school in Joshua's lunch box...^_^) I don't know how she does it, but somehow Leah can take ONE oreo and cover not only her face, but her hands, arms, legs, feet, and highchair in the chocolatey goodness, while STILL having enough left to eat!

I had to do a creamy black and white conversion to go along with the Oreo theme!! :0)

I had the privilege of photographing a dear friend of my sister, as well as her beautiful family! This family was SO fun to work with! They were such a gorgeous family!

Joshua's party was so fun!! He had a great time, and got some really awesome presents that he has been enjoying ever since! Here are a few snapshots from his transformers party!

This week we are celebrating Joshua's birthday! Yesterday he turned SEVEN!! We ran errands, met his teacher at open house, and had a birthday dinner at his choice, Golden Corral! This week has been SO busy!! So fun though! :0)

I've got a new camera strap, and lens that I am head over heels in love with!! (Thanks Millie for the strap, you ROCK!)
I've got my first family shoot tonight! I'm so excited! Tomorrow is Joshua's birthday party! We are going to celebrate with a pizza lunch, then ice cream, and cake! Followed by some PRESENTS for the boy!

It's been an awesome week! To top it all off, Sunday begins a really, really, (let me emphasize the REALLY) COOL series at church! LEGENDARY!! If you are interested you can check it out at www.nextlevelchurch.org.

Leah & Her Buddy

Leah has fallen in love with her "kid leash"! Lol...it's a little dog that Hailey wears on her back, and I hold on to it's tail so that she can't get far. (It's totally cute, not like the totally embarrassing wrist leashes my mom used on me!!)
Anywho, Leah loves this little dog! She's thrown many a tantrum over it! The other night, Daddy decided to be funny and put the dog on her backwards. She loved it! She walked around all night with her buddy. It was the cutest thing!
