Ewww, sick SUCKS

I hate being sick. Abso-friggin-lutely HATE it. I mean I know that everyone hates being sick, no one likes it. But I think I hate it more. Probably because since the flue hit 4 out of the 5 of us way back when a few months ago, at least one of us has been sick the entire time. From tonsillitis, to gastritis, to ear infections, and upper respiratory infections, stomach bugs, sinus infections, it's just ridiculous. Not to mention the smashed fingers and broken legs and all that other crap. If someone isn't hurt, then someone is sick. Last Hailey was getting over a double ear infection, Joshua was just diagnosed with an awful ear infection, and I started running a fever with some awful stomach bug type stuff. All while poor Leah is in  cast with a broken leg, and coming down with a croupy cough and nasty runny nose. Somehow, not sure how, but some how Mel has managed to dodge all of this crap! Sooo not fair. The thing is, is that before the awful flue that hit us all, we were hardly ever sick! I can name on one hand how many ear infections all of my kids have had together and here they are 2 out of 3 of 'em with ear infections! It's like the flue put such a whoopin' on our immune systems we haven't had a chance to bounce back before being hit by ANOTHER icky sickness! It's just getting really old, really fast. As of today, Leah had a super-mega-ew snot nose things goin' on, and Hailey is down for the count with a fever an a NASTY cough. I'm beginning to think we're all dying from an infectious mold disease. Except for Mel. He thinks he's so cool with his healthiness. Boo. "Oh look at me my immune system actually functions!" Okay, he doesn't say that, and I'm beyond thankful and grateful that he is healthy. If he were sick who would work around here? Anyway I'm wishing, and hoping, and begging, and praying for a new healthy start this spring!!! Since the Lysol and bleach alone have been deemed ineffective, we're moving on to other more extreme measures. What? Not sure yet...but we gotta try something!

I just wasn't happy with him. At all. And besides, the thermometer looks like a cigarette anyway. So I went into more detail with the new sick dude. And I like him better. The thermometer  is much more obviously a thermometer. And I think the "sick" come across better. Maybe it's just me....

I keep hearing barnyard animal noises comin' from the desktop 'puter where Mel is clicking away. I hope he's on farmville and not some strange fetish site...it has been confirmed, he is on farmville. Can't lie, gotta admit I'm a little relieved.

Joshua just asked when we're having lunch. We ate an hour ago. Sometimes I worry about him...in a loving way.
