A little Thursday Rundown...

Here's a little rundown of my day:

Woke up to the hubster putting Leah in our bed, just as she shoots vomit our of her cute little mouth.

After two more pukings got the boy off to school, despite my fears we're able to get home without pukifying the backseat.

After two more puke incidents we get the big girl off to school, once again miraculously avoiding any van vomit.

Once home I try the whole, "Catch the puke in a bowl" thing. FAIL! Leah pushes the bowl away, preferring to throw-up all over me.

By 12:45, when it is time to get Hailey from school, Leah has thrown up FOURTEEN TIMES. In NO WAY is that an exaggeration. By this time, I have succumbed to hugging her against my chest and holding her while she throws-up all over the both of us. By this time I have come to the conclusion that it is easier to change shirts then it is to clean vomit out of the carpet/couch/blankets/etc.

Let me tell you, never in my life have a I felt more like a mother then I did today while hugging my daughter against me to comfort her while she painfully threw-up repeatedly.

By this point hubs is on the way home, because after the 13th time, I was starting to lose it.

So my knight in shining armor comes driving up in his truck to save the day, and Leah meets him at the door all smiles. She FINALLY drinks juice, and holds it down. While I leave to get the boy from school I warn Mel to watch out because she is DEFINITELY going to throw up her juice. Does she? No. In fact she decided 14 times in 6 and half hours was plenty.

Mel came home for nothing.

On the way home I had one of the most enjoyable conversations with Joshua that we have had in a long time. We discussed the Terminator movies, and how the first, second, and fourth were good, but where did they go wrong with the second? We talked about how the fourth is in the future, but also in the past, because it's in future, but it's also before they send the terminator back in time to kill Sarah Connor. We talked about the different ways to kill a terminator, which lead to a conversation about the best guns to use during a zombie apocolypse. That kid is the most awesome kid. I love our conversations.

Now, Hailey has been sleeping on the couch since 4 or 5 so I'm pretty sure she's going to wake up around 2 and be up for the day. Joy.

I'm ready for bed myself. I am physically and emotionally exhausted. I bought new vitamins for the kids that have immunity boosters, and I'm seriously considering a steamer so that I can disinfect every inch of the house, couches, mattresses, and fabric included.

{PS} The bathroom makeover may be done this weekend! I can't wait to post before & afters!
{PPS} Sorry for being so lame-o lately. I'm to exhausted to post anything worth reading really.

Sooooooooo thankful that tomorrow is Friday. Oh! One more thing, Leah gets her cast off tomorrow! Woo-hoo!!! (I was totally freaking out that she was gonna get chunks down her cast today...)
Downside, it's a teacher workday so I'll have all the kiddo's, and I'm not sure if they'll get the puke bug or not. (Crossing fingers that they won't.)
