A Little Moan for Monday

It was Friday. A sweltering Friday at that. Even though it was only a little over a week ago, I cannot remember what we were doing that day**. Well, what we were doing other than going to have lunch with my sister. Although it was disgustingly hot outside, and the horrid and the hateful a/c in the van decided to kick it, I piled up the 3 kiddo's and headed out. Being fans, we decided on Chick-Fil-A for lunch. We went through the drive-thru.
**Okay totally just remembered, the kiddos had appointments for their bi-annual teeth cleaning at the dentist. My mom watched Leah while I took them, and when I picked Leah up from her house, she had a load of things she needed me to take to Katie, it just so happened to be lunch time.

Okay, back to the story, we went through the drive-thru, made the order, I even remembered to ask for TONS of mayonnaise for my sister. I checked the bag, everything was in place, and I drove off into the sweltering sun, with visions of ice skating waffle fries, and synchronized swimming chicken sandwiches danced through my head. (Did I mention it was hot?)

We arrive at my sisters work not a moment to soon. I wiped the drool from my chin sweat from my brow, and had the kiddo's help me carry all of the food and drinks in to her office. The kiddo's immediately starting chowing down, and I, trying to be the supportive sister sat and ate my fries while we waited for the last 10 minutes to pass and for her lunch hour to officially begin. FINALLY the clock hand moved around and it was time to GRUB! (Of course, by then my fries were gone and I would have to enjoy my sammich all on it's lonesome.)

My poor sister was STARVING! Finally, she tore into her bag after her nugget meal. She pulled the box of nuggets out of the bag, anxiously awaiting their tender, juicy meatiness, with their delicious, and buttery crust. She opened the box..... Where were the nuggets?! Yes my friends, the nuggets were no where to be found. Replacing the 8-piece nuggets, was a 4-piece Chicken Mini's.

Chicken Mini's? At lunch time? You ask...yes. Chicken Mini's, the wonderfully breaded chicken nuggets, nestled warm and cozy in their biscuit blankets, that Chick-Fil-A only serves at lunch. Chicken Mini's are awesome, don't get me wrong. When you order them for breakfast, and they are fresh. Not when you mistakenly receive them for lunch.

Not only did the nuggets get left out, but instead they were replaced with at least 4-hour old chicken mini's.

As if you couldn't guess, here is my moan people.

I understand that working at a fast food window can be extremely hectic, there are orders coming from every which way, this bag wants no pickles, this bag wants un-salted fries, easy-ice for this cup, extra napkins for this order. I get it, I really do. But to serve someone something that had been sitting out for hours is, in my opinion, RIDICULOUS!

So is forgetting to give your customers their apple juice for their parched, and dehydrated kiddo's that are literally melting in their backseat.

As well as giving someone a water instead of the Sprite they ordered.

It's annoying. It get's on my nerves. And I let that stuff pass, all the time! I am not a rude customer, because I understand, it happens.

But I have the right to moan about it.

OMG... This is so annoying. When my office decides to order lunch, I make sure it's one that requires a menu and preordering because fast food places will screw you over every single time and there's no way I'm gonna enjoy my food when joe blow across from me ends up with a whopper instead of a big mac (I realize it's 2 diff restaurants but it could happen!)...

That is annoying ... and the reason why we compulsively check out bag before driving away. We've been screwed one too many times.

We drove away once and they had given my son an empty box...no nuggets! And get this..my friend went to McDonalds once...drove away..went to take a bite of her burger and they had left the meat off. Seriously...Where's the beef??

This is your house, moan if you want to!
I have trouble at fast food places constantly. I don't eat meat and no fast food place anywhere can understand the concept.
