Moaning Monday
Something has recently reminded me of something I have been wanting to bitch and moan about for quite sometime.
The sad thing is, it happened like for-EV-er ago, and here I am JUST now blogging about it. The only reason I haven't as of yet is because I forgot about it! Completely forgot about it.
April 30th was the day. I was able to talk the hubs and some friends into seeing the remake of The Nightmare on Elm Street. {Honestly, I could have sworn I blogged about it, but after reviewing post, after post, I did not blog about seeing it. However, I did blog about WANTING to see it.}
Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by the movie. I was really expecting to not like it very much. I love Robert Englund and just could not see anyone else playing Freddy! But Jackie Earle Haley gave an excellent, and horrifyingly creepy performance!
Anyway, this is NOT my review for the movie, this is a Moaning Monday post!!
So what am I here to bitch about today? I am here to complain about THE YOUNG CHILDREN IN THE THEATER. No, they weren't loud, and obnoxious, whiny, or crying. It was there presence alone that PISSED ME THE @#$% OFF.
WHO in their right @#$ %$#@ mind takes children to see a RATED R horror film?! Are you INSANE?!
I seriously wanted to yell at the horrible excuse-for-a-mother, low-class TRASH. I wanted to tell them what I thought of them. I wanted to get up in the middle of the movie as soon as I noticed the toddlers and children and tell them to LEAVE. I SHOULD have. I should have done SOMETHING. I should have AT LEAST told the theater that I was disgusted that they would allow YOUNG CHILDREN into such a movie.
They have RULES that you may not see a rated R movie under the age of 17 unless accompanied by an adult. They should have rules that NO ONE under the age of 13 be allowed to enter. Adult escort or not! If these parents want to @#$% up their childrens minds they can do it in their own home.
If you are one of the low-class, trashtastic parents that let your very young children and toddlers watch this rated R, extremely violent, scary, and gory horror films and I have offended you, perhaps you should grow a brain. Or give your children to parents who love them enough to not subject them to terrifying images that may effect them the rest of their lives.
THE END
{PS} This seriously peeves me SO BAD that just writing about it, and stirring up these memories has me LIVID. My blood pressure is probably through the roof right now!
oh and another thing....
It is not often, if ever, that I have written about something I have felt so strongly about. Even while moaning and bitching in my other Moaning Monday posts, I have never gone so far as to belittle anyone on their parenting techniques. (If you can call that parenting.) It is not something I do. I was just SO disgusted, and angry for this poor innocent children. Please do not take offense to my outlash.

Soooo True!! BUT if the parent is going to allow the child to see such a film, then the theater is going to make $$ off it, and that is all they care about $$$.. afterall, the kids will get to see it again on Cinemax or Showtime in a couple of months.
My daughter cried during G-Force... LMAO!!
OMG! Are you kidding me? What moron brings a toddler into a horror film? I don't even want to bring MYSELF into them, let alone a little kid who will probably develop night terrors. Some parents these days drive me nuts. Great post.
I don't even go to the movies anymore because I'm not spending $10 alone for the ticket to be irritated thru the entire thing. Most people don't know how to keep their traps shut during a movie, like they come there for their own personal social hour. WTF? Don't even get me started on they crying babies that are brought in, or the candy that's so expensive you would think it was wrapped in gold.... They're supposed to "card" you for rated R films now but they never do!
P.S. I bought beer at Walmart yesterday and the cashier pointed to the "Does this chick look under 40" sign that pops up rather than actually carding me, she was foreign, I just laughed. Welcome to America!
I'm totally with you on this one. I cannot stand when parents bring young children to grown-up movies. There is a reason they are rated R!! And to think it was a HORROR film! How terrible!
Oh, I feel bad for those poor kids. They will be having nightmares for weeks. I don't feel so bad for the parents who will have to be dealing with the kids having nightmares!
