The First Dance

 I have been a reader, and lover, of Mama's Losin' It! for sometime now. I've always loved seeing what prompts she's chosen each week for her Writer's Workshop. I've never participated in one before, because I've never been very good at writing when prompted. I tend to draw a blank. So I just write from the heart, or about daily shmaily things, and my crazy kids and just lots of photog naziness.

Anywho, this week, one assignment stood out to me.







1.) Write about your wedding song. What was it and why did you choose it?

I suppose I'm feeling a little on the nostalgic side, so I decided to share my super spectacular one-of-a-kind wedding song with you.


The very first song, and pretty much the last song, that I danced with my husband to was "Your Guardian Angel" by the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.





(I know, I know, it's friggin' AWESOME huh?!)

We, well I, chose this song because I LOVED the lyrics. (And because it's just friggin' awesome.) "I will never let you fall, I'll stand up with you forever....". I thought they were soooo perfect, and soooo romantic, and soooo just lovingly perfect for my, I mean our, big, epic day!!! My hubby is very much my guardian angel, I wouldn't be here without him. Seriously. I also LOVED that it had a little of the rock to it. It wouldn't have been ME to dance to some slow song. It wouldn't have felt right, and anyone who knows me would have been all, "What the crap?!". It's already strange enough that I wore an actual wedding dress! :) Plus I love Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.
