RTT: Random Tuesday Thoughts

I've never participated in a Random Tuesday Thought post before, and now sadly the original host has is taking a hiatus from hosting RTT. That is when a blogger I keep up with, Jamie over at The TaterTwins, decided to take over as host until Keely over at The Unmom returns to rightful place as host.

So, without further ado, I give you my very first Random Tuesday Thought Post!

After witnessing my terrified nephew run shrieking and screaming away from a fly, Leah had now decided that she too is scared of flies. This is a bit bothersome seeing as how we live in the country, and by law have at least one fly in our house at all times. It is also the most ridiculously annoying thing I've ever seen in my life. I've tried telling Leah that flies are nice, and that it hurts their feelings when you are scared of them. Doesn't work. Don't know how much longer I can put up with this obnoxiousness...

So having our 4 wheeler stolen actually turned out to be a not-so-bad thing. We were able to use our insurance check for a VERY, VERY much needed washer and dryer. And my life is suddenly amazingly easier these days. I used to have to do AT least a load of laundry a day, often two, just to keep up with it. Now I can do 2 loads twice a week and stay on top of it. It's amazing. I love it. I absolutely HATE doing laundry, but I really don't mind it anymore. If my new washer and dryer folded and put away clothes life would be perfect.

Chicken & Gnocchi soup and the Lasagna Fritta from Olive Garden are basically all I can think about these days. They're above and beyond DELICIOUS.

Hailey is shooting up in height, and slimming down these days. She's actually down a size, and will be able to wear all of last Springs and Summer clothes. {AWESOME!!!!} She's loving skinny jeans right now, and I must say, she rocks them like a rock star.

I'm reading a new book, Plague of the Dead: The Morningstar Strain. I. Am. LOVING IT!! I'm about 174 pages in, and glad that I decided to pick up the sequel, Thunder and Ashes when I bought the first book.

I took almost two weeks off of cooking the past couple of weeks. My sister was providing us with left overs, as well as cooking for us and letting us take the left overs. We were also eating out and taking advantage of "Kids Eat Free" nights. Needless to say it was a nice break, but it's nice to be back in the kitchen cooking. I'm looking forward to making lasagna tonight. {I'm hoping we have enough left overs to get a meal out of it tomorrow night as well.}

Leah is eating non-stop lately. Just today she has eaten toaster strudel, bacon and eggs, a banana, Spongebob fruit snacks, and a nutrigrain bar. We haven't even eaten lunch yet.

 It's only Tuesday but it feels like it should be Thursday, or at LEAST Wednesday.

Allergies suck. I've been able to dodge them my entire life until this year. Right now my eyeballs are killing me. And of course I'm limited in what I can take. Pretty much Benedryl and Sudafed. That's it.

I have my second gestational diabetes screening this Thursday. {Also happens to be my 26 week appointment.} I'm praying I pass. The 3 hour test SUCKS.

Joshua is undergoing some harsh punishment. I hate it. I love that kid and I hate punishing him. But I know it's for the best.

Last but not least, there are two books and a movie that are being released today. It seriously makes me want to take a trip to Walmart. The self control it is taking to keep myself from doing so is immense.
