You have grown before my eyes, seemingly overnight! There are often times I feel you should be so small, I look at your clothes and can't imagine them fitting you. Yet, you put them on and often they're too small!
I can't begin to describe what a joy you are. You bring SO much happiness to our family. You light up our day with your laughter and smiles. Your big brother and sisters just adore you. You make our family better. You make our family whole. Complete.
It seems like yesterday we were having your newborn photos done, and today we were in the same studio having your 6 month pictures done! Dear sweet boy, please slow down. Just a little bit! You're such a big boy now!
The past couple of weeks have seriously been a whirlwind of activity for you. You've sat up for the first time, gotten on all fours, you rock, roll, squirm, worm, pull, push, and manuever yourself around our house. Most recently you've pushed yourself into a sitting position on your own. Nothing is safe and you have a knack for finding the tiniest things on the floor. I've been having to vacuum more than ever, and even still you find things I never even saw.
You've tried several more foods, but you still will not eat much. So far all you've liked is pickles and ice cream. Scratch that, you LOVE pickles. You had your first yesterday and wouldn't give it back. You gnawed on it for several minutes before dropping it. You never once even made the sour pickle face so many babies make!
You've celebrated your first Thanksgiving, and your first Christmas! Santa was good to you! You really play with toys now, and our living room has become your playroom. You "crawl" around playing and having fun, it's so fun to watch. {The jumperoo is still your favorite though.} You're teething like a joker and I'm waiting for those first teeth to pop through. You went from sleeping 10 hours straight to getting up twice to getting up 4 times and now you're back to 8 hours or so. I really can't complain! We had a few rough weeks but we all survived! :)
You're beginning to have stranger anxiety, which isn't fun. You're also beginning to have separation anxiety. DOUBLE not fun.
Everyone says you're SO serious. And I'll admit, you can be quite the serious little boy, but at home? With those you're closest to? You're SO happy! You light up and it lights up everyone around you. Your smile and joy is so infectious!
I love you sweet Grayson James. Love you more than you'll ever know. Thank you for making me your mama! Happy half birthday sweetheart!
