I'm a Learner.

I spent almost 7 hours at a Photoshop seminar yesterday. {WITH my BF too!!^_^} It. Was. AWESOME! We are pretty much photoshop rockstars now. Actually the opposite is to be said for me. It totally made me realize how much I DON'T know...anywho...

I seriously felt like a little kid.

There was all these 'real' grown-ups with put together outfits, and briefcases/messenger bags, with put together hair, and put together make-up. REAL grown-ups who think to do things like, bring umbrellas when it's so obviously going to be raining all day.

But not me. I was there in my gray, most fave, but completely TOO casual VS yoga pants, and an oversized, oh-so-comfy, but NOT even CLOSE to being dressy enough church tee. Oh, and my dirty falling apart 3 year old tennis shoes. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I was a hot mess. My BF was in jeans and a tee and looked soooo much better than I did!

I may as well have dressed like this.

Just to make the whole, "LOOK" complete, I entered the convention center looking like a drowned rat, having to walk several blocks in the rain.

Did my BF look like a drowned rat? NO! She looked cute. It's not fair. She's puerto rican, I think that's her secret to cuteness.

I suppose I COULD have driven around to find out where the entrance to the convention center. I suppose I COULD have scoped out the area to find the closest parking deck. I really wouldn't have minded paying another $4 in addition to the $6 I had already paid for closer parking. I wouldn't have.

Taking those necessary steps to ensure a dryer Brianne doesn't necessarily mean I would have looked any better though.

To be honest though. I didn't care. I was with one of my best friends, and I had my new fave bag, and I was on a mission to LEARN.

I didn't care that I looked like a 25 year old 4th grader. {But I must admit I did kinda care about the wetness and feared that I may smell like a wet dog to those around me.}

I would so rock this.

So what did I learn??? Find the entrance. Park closer. ALWAYS carry an umbrella. And only take comfort so far. Jeans and a nice shirt, and a little mascara would have gone a LONG way in the self esteem department for sure.

Those were my life lessons anyway. As far as what I learned that now makes me a photoshop rockstar? Well...that I will never tell. ;)
