The Cloth Diaper Experience

Okay, so I have shared with everyone {well, most everyone} that I will be cloth diapering Grayson, I've blogged about it, I'm prepared, and now I'm just waiting for a little tiny bottom to wrap in a cloth diaper!

I have decided to share my entire CD'ing experience on the ye' old blog. I will be sharing the in's and out's, a review of each diaper I use, my opinions, what I love, and what I hate, tips {when I learn them} and literally everything I can think of to share. I spent SO much time googling and searching and googling and reading about cloth diapering. I spent time in forums, and even asked a question or two. I can't tell you HOW many times I was told, check out this, check out that, when all I wanted was opinions and actual experience! That's why I have decided to share my experience. I wanted so badly to have mama's share theirs with me, I thought I should pass it on to those looking for advice, tips, and guidance and experiences. Sometimes you just want the real deal of cloth diapering and what works and what doesn't. Bear with me as I slowly add more and more to the blog. {Who knows, maybe it will end up turning into a whole separate cloth diapering blog one day.}

The battle plan:
I'm going into this with a total of 17 CD's. A mixture  of pocket diapers, hybrid diapers, all-in-two diapers, and all-in-one diapers. {Like I said, whichever work best for us will be what we complete our stash in.} I have a dozen cloth wipes ready to go. I will be using Crunchy Clean detergent to clean the CD's. Dirty dipes will be going in a Planet Wise hanging wet/dry bag.

I will begin sharing the experience as soon as his little bum fits in the one size diapers!

i am very interested in learning about it...i've considered it this time myself, but as a working mom i'm not sure how it will work out. It seems that it would be much easier as a SAHM. -Kelly McLaughlin

I'll look forward to following along. I'm planning to start brewing up a baby soon and can use any advice. My sister is cloth diapering my niece and for wipes is using soft baby wash clothes (she found them cheaper than "wipe clothes") moistened with diluted california baby wash. It's working really well and seems to be a money saver. She stores them in a regular plastic wipes container and keeps an extra stash of diluted soap nearby in glass drink bottles. Anyway, just mentioning it in case you end up needing more wipes.
