It was a sad day when I discovered Leah's beloved Moose and Zee missing from the network. It wasn't until a week later that I would notice not only were they gone but so were several of her beloved morning shows. Replaced with the two I loathe above all else, Diego (gag) and Dora (double gag).
Where is Little Bear? Little Bill? Miss Spider's Sunny Patch?! I can't even remember the last time I saw Olivia. and possibly even worse? Yo Gabba. Sure you can catch them. If you're up at 3 in the morning nursing a baby. But they're gone from Leah's Monday and Friday mornings. :(
I made a comment on Facebook and a friend shared with me a link to an article about the change. Apparently parents everywhere are flipping their lids, demanding they turn bring their beloved Moose and Zee and return to their loved line-up. If you visit Nick Jr.'s Facebook page it's covered in comment after comment of unhappy moms and dads.
I have yet to come across a comment from anyone who actually likes, appreciates, or is even okay with the change.
Okay, so I watched Playhouse Disney for years. I watched as different "hosts" came and went and then most recently when they made the switch to Disney Junior. I've also seen shows come and go. I know it's inevitable. But I don't think Nick Jr. has gone about this the right way.
They didn't replace older shows with newer, better shows. They replaced old shows, with old shows. That in my opinion? SUCK. Enjoyable shows have been replaced with obnoxious singing maps and backpacks, and Moose and Zee with their fun songs, jokes, and games, have been replaced with commercials.
DOUBLE YUCK.
I understand it's time for some of the shows to go, but for the love of God replace them with something BETTER. And some of them really have no business going yet. Olivia and Yo Gabba??? Really??? They're some of the only good preschool shows out there!
Want my two cents? Bring back a few of the dropped shows, bring in NEW shows, and if you're going to ditch Moose and Zee at LEAST bring in something comparable with the fun songs, games, and jokes for Pete's sake!
I've seen a lot of boycott talk, and while I'm not one to boycott something, however I'm thinking it's going to happen inevitably only because I don't even want Nick Jr. on my TV anymore. My "go to" network is gone. :( Sads.
At least it's good timing for Disney Junior who's own network is in the works....looks like I will be having a new "go to" soon enough.
Nick Jr., you guys made some mistakes. I think that's very clear. Fix them.

I'm just starting to explore these channels again (the two older kids just don't watch them anymore), but I've already been avoiding most of these shows. I miss my Boomerang channel, but refuse to pay for the most expensive package Dish offers. Guess I'll be ordering that old school Sesame Street DVD after all.
That's so strange - that they wouldn't at least replace it with new shows! Hopefully they listen to the public outcry and change it back!
Have you checked to see if the shows are available On Demand still?
