Hunger Games Mom

If you think for one second I'm a horrible mother for letting my 9 year old son watch The Hunger Games you are 100% wrong! I'm not awful for letting him see the movie, if anything I'm awful for letting him read the book!!!

The book details each gruesome kill. Pairing a horrific picture of suffering and pain, and leaving your imagination to fill in the holes with even more terrifying details. The movie? The movie implied, at best, that there was anything gruesome.

I had a super nice gentlemen sit next to Joshua. I realized quickly he was concerned. When we left he asked Joshua how the movie was and asked if he was going to sleep okay.

W. T. F man?!

You don't know my kid! He's got horror movie love running through his VAINS. I will admit, I'm super lax about the movies he's seen. BUT it's not like I don't have limits. Sex and drugs, rated R? Certain language and situations? NO GO. But I AND I ALONE know what's best for my kids. I know what they can handle and what they can't.

Hailey? I would never let her see that movie without seeing it first. Now that I've seen it and know that it shows basically NOTHING I have NO ISSUE with her watching.

Do people forget that this was a book for children?!

I just want to scream at the top of my lungs, "GET OFF MY NUTS!". We're all screwing our kids up in our own way. You do it your way, I'll do it mine....

What the hell?!  I took my 10 year old daughter to see it.  She'd read the book as part of a school book club.  We all went together.  I probably would have embarrassed myself and told him off.  Kudos to you!
